Ukrainian defense minister says Israel promised to share missile warning technologies

Earlier, Ukraine asked Israel to supply it with weapons, including air defense systems

KIEV, February 5. /TASS/. Israel has promised to share with Ukraine missile and drone attack warning technologies, Ukrainian Defense Minister Alexey Reznikov said on Sunday.

"It is true. They (Israel - TASS) have promised us that," Ukrinfrom quoted him as saying when asked by journalists when Ukraine would receive Israeli missile waning technologies. The minister however did not say when it will be done.

Earlier, Ukraine asked Israel to supply it with weapons, including air defense systems. Israel’s previous government turned down these requests, saying that Israel supported Ukraine and offered humanitarian assistance to it. However, Benjamin Netanyahu, who has recently taken the office of prime minister, told France’s LCI television channel on Saturday that he will look at possible weapons supplies to Ukraine taking into account Israel’s national interests. As for the Iron Dome air defense system, Netanyahu said he was thinking about it but refused to promise anything, since a new government has not yet been formed and the foreign policy course is yet to be outlined.
