MOSCOW, March 13. /TASS/. The number of refugees who have arrived in Russia from Ukraine and Donbass has exceeded 5.4 million people, law-enforcement agencies told TASS on Monday.
"According to the latest data, over 5.4 million people, including 744,000 children, have arrived in Russia," the law enforcement agencies said.
Over 39,000 people are staying at temporary accommodation centers in 64 Russian regions and this number is declining. The refugees at the temporary accommodation centers are provided with medical and legal assistance. Also, they receive 10,000 rubles ($132) per person in one-time financial aid pursuant to the Russian government’s decision. In all, almost 12.3 billion rubles ($162.7 million) has been paid out, the law-enforcement agencies said.
