Ukrainian forces' lack of camouflage equipment increases losses, says People’s Militia

Andrey Marochko noted that the lack of camouflage cloaks "leads to de-masking of Ukrainian servicemen at positions and an increase in losses"

LUGANSK, February 16. /TASS/. The Ukrainian armed forces lack camouflage equipment, which is the reason why there are so many losses in their ranks, Andrey Marochko, retired Lieutenant Colonel of the People's Militia of the Lugansk People's Republic, told TASS on Thursday.

"Ukrainian units on the line of contact have problems with camouflage equipment. Ukrainian fighters on the front line are forced to neglect camouflage, as winter camouflage cloaks are not issued or [they] are given low-quality camouflage gear that quickly becomes unusable," he said.

Marochko noted that the lack of camouflage cloaks "leads to de-masking of Ukrainian servicemen at positions and an increase in losses." According to him, Ukrainian military, after appealing to their commanders with a request to allocate camouflage equipment, received in response a call to buy them at their own expense.
