MOSCOW, November 14. / TASS/. The majority of Russian residents say that the special military operation has little to no impact on their everyday life, according to a report by the Institute of Sociology of the Russian Academy of Sciences titled "Russian Everyday Life Today: Based on the Materials of Sociological Monitoring," presented at a press conference at TASS.
"Despite the emergence of new threats and challenges, Russian society continues to psychologically adapt to both the consequences of the worsening foreign policy situation and certain internal difficulties caused by the special military operation in Ukraine as well as the increasing involvement of NATO countries in this conflict. While public anxiety remains high, the percentage of Russians who view the situation as catastrophic or as a crisis has noticeably decreased, and the share of citizens who accept the current circumstances as a new normal is rising. According to this survey, 83% of Russians stated that the special military operation has had little to no impact on their daily life," the report says.
The research studied a representative nationwide sample across 22 regions of Russia, covering 112 settlements, including two megacities, 19 administrative centers of Russian regions, 35 district centers, 19 urban settlements, and 37 villages.
