ZHUHAI /China/, November 14. /TASS/. Russia’s Vityaz and Viking medium-range air defense systems have attracted the most attention among Russian-made anti-aircraft missile systems on display at Airshow China in Zhuhai, Almaz-Antey Group Deputy CEO Vyacheslav Dzirkaln told TASS on Thursday.
"Among the exhibits on display, the Vityaz and Viking air defense systems command the greatest popularity," he said.
These Russian-made medium-range air defense systems regularly feature enhanced characteristics, which spark the most interest in this equipment, he explained.
The Russian air defense systems demonstrated at the international airshow in China are the best in the world in their short-, medium-, and long-range categories, he added.
Russian surface-to-air missile systems have demonstrated their value in the special military operation in Ukraine, the Almaz-Antey executive added.
"The entire world closely monitors that because these air defense systems are critical for any state," Dzirkaln clarified.
The Almaz-Antey executive also praised the quality of Chinese equipment in this field demonstrated at Airshow China.
"We can say that our partners have achieved remarkable progress in the production of equipment," he said.
Russia’s Almaz-Antey Group is displaying its armament and military equipment at Airshow China. Russia’s exposition includes the S-400 Triumf long-range air defense system, the S-350E Vityaz and Viking medium-range anti-aircraft missile systems, the Tor family of short-range missile systems, the Tunguska-M1 short-range surface-to-air missile/gun system, and the Taifun-PVO(E) anti-aircraft fighting vehicle.
