MOSCOW, November 14. /TASS/. The Kremlin is not surprised that foreign automakers are going to return to the Russian market, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, commenting on the possibility of resumed supplies of European and Japanese cars.
"Concerning Japan - all the countries are rather pragmatic in their decisions and you are aware that many countries introducing certain restrictions issue licenses for exceptions from the list of these restrictions if necessary, in their interests. This is done very easily and everything is absolutely revealed; they pragmatically do as to benefit them. We should definitely follow this practice," Peskov noted.
No official statements have been received so far from European automakers regarding the return to the Russian market, the Kremlin Spokesman noted. "They [statements - TASS] simply have not taken place. Therefore it is premature to talk [about that]," he added.
