NEW YORK, November 23. /TASS/. US President-elect Donald Trump has nominated investor Scott Bessent to serve as Treasury Secretary.

"Scott is widely respected as one of the world’s foremost international investors and geopolitical and economic strategists," Trump wrote on his Truth Social page.

Janet Yellen currently holds the position of Treasury Secretary.
