MOSCOW, November 23. /TASS/. Syrian government forces foiled an attempt by saboteurs to infiltrate their positions in the Idlib governorate, deputy chief of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of the Opposing Parties in Syria (a division of the Russian defense ministry), said.

"During the past day, Syrian government forces exposed and thwarted an attempt by a sabotage and reconnaissance group of illegal armed units to infiltrate positions of the Syrian army near Jubas in the Idlib governorate," he said.

According to Ignasyuk, six shelling attacks on positions of Syrian government forces by the Jabhat al-Nusra and Islamic Party of Turkestan terrorist groups (both outlawed in Russia) were reported during the day. Two Syrian soldiers were wounded.
