Concerts, festival to mark 90th anniversary from birthday of composer Alfred Schnittke

MOSCOW, November 24. /TASS/. The 90th jubilee of the birthday of composer Alfred Schnittke (1934-1998) is celebrated in Russia by concerts, a musical festival, exhibition of feature films and documentaries, and other events.

"We plan many events dedicated to Alfred Schnittke, the whole four concerts with his compositions," the Tchaikovsky Moscow Conservatory told TASS.

The federal action plan of jubilee activities comprises 99 different events. The musical festival dedicated to works of the composer will be held in Yekaterinburg from November 21 to 24.
