WASHINGTON, November 14. /TASS/. The US Department of Defense has refuted claims made by a former employee that the US government is in possession of extraterrestrial technologies, Sue Gough from Defense Press Operations told TASS on Wednesday.
"To date, the department has not found any verifiable evidence that any UAP (Unidentified Aerial Phenomena - TASS) observations represented extraterrestrial activity," the Pentagon official responded to a relevant question. Nor has the Pentagon "discovered any verifiable information to substantiate claims that any programs regarding the possession or reverse-engineering of extraterrestrial materials have existed in the past or exist currently," she added.
According to Gough, the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), an office at the US Department of Defense that investigates unidentified anomalous phenomena, "is continuing its review of the historical record of US government UAP programs." The Department of Defense "welcomes the opportunity to speak with any former or current government employee or contractor who believes they have information relevant to the historical review" of such programs," she said. "AARO is using a rigorous scientific framework to analyze and resolve UAP incidents and will continue to follow the data wherever it leads," Gough stressed as she referred a TASS reporter to an AARO report released in March.
Earlier on Wednesday, Luis Elizondo, a former Department of Defense official, claimed that the United States and some of its adversaries possess UAP technologies as he addressed a UFO hearing in Congress on Wednesday. According to him, "advanced technologies" not made by the US or any government "are monitoring sensitive military installations around the globe."
