DONETSK, March 4. /TASS/. Ukrainian forces frequently flee the battlefield upon their encounter with Russian troops in the south Donetsk area, the commander with the call sign Panda from the anti-tank platoon of the Battlegroup East’s 394th Motor Rifle Regiment told TASS on Tuesday.
Ukrainian air assault forces frequently run away immediately after landing, he said.
"Upon their arrival at the site, they land and run away as soon as they encounter our assault teams. It frequently happens so that they run back as soon as they land," the Russian commander said.
In the liberation of the settlement of Burlatskoye, at least three Ukrainian army groups fled upon encountering Russian assault teams, he said.
Russia’s Defense Ministry reported on March 1 that Russian troops had liberated the settlement of Burlatskoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic. On March 3, Russian President Vladimir Putin assigned the honorary Guards title to the 394th Motor Rifle Regiment.
