MOSCOW, March 3. /TASS/. Russian forces struck Ukrainian military airfields and UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) assembly workshops over the past day in the special military operation in Ukraine, Russia’s Defense Ministry reported on Monday.
"Operational/tactical aircraft, attack unmanned aerial vehicles, missile troops and artillery of the Russian groups of forces struck the infrastructure of military airfields, workshops for the production of unmanned aerial vehicles and their storage sites and massed manpower and equipment of Ukrainian armed formations in 139 areas," the ministry said in a statement.

Russia’s Battlegroup North inflicted roughly 45 casualties on Ukrainian troops and destroyed a NATO artillery system in its area of responsibility in the Kharkov Region over the past day, the ministry reported.
"Battlegroup North units operating in the Kharkov direction inflicted losses on formations of a motorized infantry brigade of the Ukrainian army and a territorial defense brigade near the settlement of Volchansk in the Kharkov Region," the ministry said.
The Ukrainian army lost an estimated 45 personnel, two motor vehicles and a NATO self-propelled artillery system in that frontline area over the past 24 hours, it specified.

Russia’s Battlegroup West inflicted roughly 190 casualties on Ukrainian troops and destroyed two enemy electronic warfare stations in its area of responsibility over the past day, the ministry reported.
"Battlegroup West units improved their tactical position and inflicted losses on manpower and equipment of two mechanized brigades, an assault brigade of the Ukrainian army and a territorial defense brigade in areas near the settlements of Drobyshevo, Katerinovka, Kirovsk and Karpovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic, Shiykovka, Kamenka and Lozovaya in the Kharkov Region," the ministry said.
The Ukrainian army’s losses in that frontline area over the past 24 hours amounted to 190 personnel, a tank, ten motor vehicles and four field artillery guns, including two Western-made weapons, it specified.
In addition, Russian forces destroyed two electronic warfare stations of the Ukrainian army, it said.

Russia’s Battlegroup South inflicted roughly 205 casualties on Ukrainian troops and destroyed a US-made howitzer in its area of responsibility over the past day, the ministry reported.
"Battlegroup South units gained better lines and positions and inflicted losses on formations of three mechanized brigades, an airmobile brigade and two motorized infantry brigades of the Ukrainian army in areas near the settlements of Kleban-Byk, Dyleyevka, Shevchenko, Pleshcheyevka, Seversk, Chasov Yar, Konstantinovka, Serebryanka and Kramatorsk in the Donetsk People’s Republic," the ministry said.
The Ukrainian army lost an estimated 205 personnel, two pickup trucks and a US-made 155mm M777 howitzer in that frontline area over the past 24 hours, it specified.

Russia’s Battlegroup Center inflicted roughly 605 casualties on Ukrainian troops and destroyed an enemy tank and four armored combat vehicles in its area of responsibility over the past day, the ministry reported.
"Battlegroup Center units improved their frontline positions and inflicted losses on formations of five mechanized, two jaeger and two assault brigades and an airborne brigade of the Ukrainian army, a marine infantry brigade and two National Guard brigades in areas near the settlements of Novopavlovka, Udachnoye, Krasnoarmeisk, Dimitrov, Yelizavetovka, Andreyevka, Kotlyarovka and Uspenovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic," the ministry said.
The Ukrainian army lost an estimated 605 personnel, a tank, four armored combat vehicles, including an M113 armored personnel carrier and a MaxxPro armored vehicle of US manufacture and three motor vehicles in that frontline area over the past 24 hours, it specified.
In addition, Russian forces destroyed four artillery guns of the Ukrainian army, it said.

Russia’s Battlegroup East inflicted roughly 200 casualties on Ukrainian troops and destroyed four enemy artillery guns in its area of responsibility over the past day, the ministry reported.
"Battlegroup East units continued advancing deep into the enemy’s defenses and inflicted losses on formations of three mechanized brigades, a jaeger brigade and an assault regiment of the Ukrainian army and two territorial defense brigades in areas near the settlements of Poddubnoye, Voskresenka, Otradnoye, Bogatyr, Komar, Dneproenergiya, Shevchenko and Privolnoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic and Gulyaipole in the Zaporozhye Region," the ministry said.
The Ukrainian army lost an estimated 200 personnel, a tank, three armored combat vehicles, seven motor vehicles and four field artillery guns, including a Polish-made Krab self-propelled artillery system in that frontline area over the past 24 hours, it specified.

Russia’s Battlegroup Dnepr inflicted roughly 70 casualties on Ukrainian troops and destroyed an enemy tank in its area of responsibility over the past day, the ministry reported.
"Battlegroup Dnepr units inflicted losses among manpower and equipment of a mechanized brigade, a mountain assault brigade, two coastal defense brigades of the Ukrainian army and two territorial defense brigades in areas near the settlements of Mikhailovka and Sadovoye in the Kherson Region and Maliye Shcherbaki in the Zaporozhye Region," the ministry said.
The Ukrainian army lost an estimated 70 personnel, a tank, four motor vehicles, an artillery gun and an electronic warfare station in that frontline area over the past 24 hours, it specified.
Russian air defenses destroy 88 Ukrainian UAVs, two HIMARS rockets over past day
Russian air defense forces shot down 88 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles and two HIMARS rockets over the past day, the ministry reported.
"Air defense capabilities shot down two rockets of the US-made HIMARS multiple launch rocket system and 88 fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles," the ministry said.
Overall, the Russian Armed Forces have destroyed 656 Ukrainian warplanes, 283 helicopters, 45,174 unmanned aerial vehicles, 600 surface-to-air missile systems, 21,966 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,523 multiple rocket launchers, 22,215 field artillery guns and mortars and 32,405 special military motor vehicles since the start of the special military operation, the ministry reported.
