MOSCOW, March 12. /TASS/. The cargo turnover of Russian seaports dropped by 6% year on year to 131.6 mln metric tons in January - February 2025, the Association of Commercial Seaports said in its press release.
"The cargo turnover of Russian seaports dropped by 6% against the like period of the last year in two months of 2025 and totaled 131.6 mln metric tons," the Association said.
Dry goods transshipment lost 4.4% to 64.5 mln metric tons. Liquid cargo transshipment plunged by 7.5% to 672 mln metric tons.
The cargo turnover edged down by 7.1% to 13.9 mln metric tons in ports of the Arctic Basin, by 1.7% to 41.1 mln metric tons in ports of the Baltic Basin, and gained 1% to 34.9 mln metric tons in ports of the Far Eastern Basin.
At the same time, the cargo turnover plunged by 12.5% to 40.6 mln metric tons in ports of the Azov-Black Sea Basin and by 27.7% to 1.2 mln metric tons in ports of the Caspian Basin.
