MOSCOW, September 15. /TASS/. The advanced Serpukhov and Zelyony Dol guided missile corvettes, built for the Black Sea Fleet, have had gunnery practice during their sea trials, the fleet’s press office chief, Nikolai Voskresensky, said on Tuesday.
"Both ships are being tested at sea, where they fired their 100-mm guns on surface and aerial targets as well as their 30-mm Duet automatic guns and heavy machineguns that are part of their organic weapons suite," the officer said.
These are the fourth and fifth Buyan-M class ships. The first three ships of the series have been delivered to the Caspian Flotilla.
The ships in the Buyan-M class have a displacement of about 950 tons and a speed of 25 knots. They carry, among other things, the Kalibr-NK anti-ship/land-attack missile system.
