MOSCOW, March 23. /TASS/. Protests in Serbia may become more radical in the coming days, Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia Aleksandar Vulin said in an exclusive comment to TASS.
"First of all, I want to emphasize that majority of people who protest are patriots who love Serbia. But those who lead them are under control of the West. I am expecting that actions will be radicalized in coming days," he said.
The Deputy Prime Minister also stressed that the security forces of Serbia are "strong enough to protect the country ".
"I also expect that after new government be formed that situation will be fully put under control," he noted.
Earlier, Vulin told TASS that American plotters against US President Donald Trump and several European intelligence agencies were behind the protests in Serbia. He explained that these forces want to bring to power in the republic politicians who "will execute everything what the West demands, including sanctions against Russia."
After the collapse of the structure at the railway station in Novi Sad, Serbia, on November 1, 2024, anti-government protests began in the republic, which continue to this day. The protesters blame the country's authorities for the tragedy. Amid the rallies, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said that it would not be possible to carry out a color revolution in Serbia, similar to the Kiev "Maidan.".
