Ukraine’s daily losses on Kherson front amount to hundreds of servicemen — authorities

Acting Kherson Region Governor Vladimir Saldo earlier announced that civilians who lived on the right bank of the Dnieper River in the Kherson Region would be evacuated to its left bank due to the threat of flooding, which could be triggered by a Ukrainian military strike on the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant

MOSCOW, October 24. /TASS/. The Ukrainian armed forces are losing hundreds of their servicemen on the Kherson front every day, the deputy governor of the region Kirill Stremousov said during a Channel One TV broadcast on Monday.

"[The Ukrainian armed forces’ units] do not want to go into battle, because they constantly see death of both mercenaries and Ukrainian Nazis (the Ukrainian military - TASS), amounting to hundreds of people. Some 200 servicemen are killed every day," he said.

Stremousov also noted that all Ukrainian attempts to occupy lines in the Kherson direction were fruitless.

"All those wishing to come to the Kherson Region today, as practice has shown, are trying to unsuccessfully penetrate the lines that are there," he added.

Acting Kherson Region Governor Vladimir Saldo earlier announced that civilians who lived on the right bank of the Dnieper River in the Kherson Region would be evacuated to its left bank due to the threat of flooding, which could be triggered by a Ukrainian military strike on the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant. Saldo warned that Ukraine was accumulating substantial forces near Nikolayev and Krivoy Rog. According to the acting governor, the decision to relocate local residents was also due to the construction of massive defensive fortifications.
