Iranian strikes on energy infrastructure could paralyze Israel’s economy — TV

According to the media, Israeli attacks on Iran’s energy infrastructure would not have the same destabilizing effect

TEHRAN, June 16. /TASS/. New Iranian strikes targeting drilling rigs, oil and gas pipelines, power plants, refineries, and ports could lead to a complete standstill of Israel's economy, Iranian television channel SNN reported.

According to the channel, Israeli attacks on Iran’s energy infrastructure would not have the same destabilizing effect, as Iran does not depend on energy imports and has accumulated significant fuel reserves.

Overnight to June 13, Israel kicked off Operation Rising Lion aimed against Iran’s nuclear program. Iran responded in less than 24 hours. Israel and Iran exchanged strikes again on June 14 and in the early hours of June 15. Both parties reported casualties and damage, and admitted that a number of facilities had been hit, but said the damage was limited.
