Meeting with Rosatom CEO on Zaporozhye nuke plant necessary, Grossi says

International Atomic Energy Agency Director General also noted the essential role of IAEA experts at the nuclear facility in preventing a nuclear accident

BERLIN, June 6. /TASS/. International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Rafael Grossi has said that today’s meeting with Alexey Likhachev, CEO of Russia’s Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation, on the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant’s (ZNPP) safety and security was necessary.

"Comprehensive and necessary exchange with Rosatom Director General Likhachev and other senior officials in Kaliningrad today on the current safety, security, and safeguards situation at ZNPP," he wrote on the X social network.

Grossi also noted the essential role of IAEA experts at the nuclear facility in preventing a nuclear accident.
