Israel needs constant dialogue with Russia, even in case of spats — acting ambassador

Alexander Ben Zvi said that the countries have normal bilateral relations in general

MOSCOW, March 25. /TASS/. Israel believes that permanent dialogue with Russia is imperative, as this will help clear up any differences that may crop up, Acting Israeli Ambassador to Russia Alexander Ben Zvi told TASS in an interview.

"We have our ups and downs. But, in general, we have normal bilateral relations. We are cooperating, and there is an open dialogue between our countries. And I believe that this dialogue must continue," he said.

"Yes, we sometimes have different positions on various issues. That's okay. <...> But us keeping a constant dialogue is imperative. Because this is the only way to resolve these issues, so that they don't escalate."

According to the diplomat, Russia and Israel are never "in some kind of confrontation."
