30-day stop of strikes against Russian, Ukrainian energy sector counted from March 18

The deal has an option of the extension and the withdrawal from it in case one of the sides does not observe the agreement

MOSCOW, March 25. /TASS/. Russia and the United States agreed to develop measures to halt strikes against energy installations of Russia and Ukraine, the Kremlin said in the official statement after consultations between Moscow and Washington in Riyadh.

"Russia and the United States agreed to develop measures to implement agreements between the presidents of the two countries on the ban on strikes against energy facilities of Russia and Ukraine for the term of thirty days, starting from March 18, 2025, with the option of the extension and the withdrawal from the agreement in case one of the sides does not observe it," the Kremlin said in the statement posted on its website.

The second telephone conversation between Russian and US Presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump was held on March 18. The Russian leader supported the idea of his US counterpart about ceasefire in Ukraine and ordered to halt attacks against Ukrainian energy installations. There was no response from the Kiev regime to that step.
