SBU officers recruited the man in August 2024

MOSCOW, June 16. /TASS/. A man detained in the Kherson Region has confessed to plotting a terrorist attack on a district administration official upon orders from the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU), according to an interrogation video released by Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB).

"SBU officers recruited me in August 2024. Upon orders from the SBU, I was preparing a terrorist attack on an administration official in the Gornostayevsky Municipal District. I’m sorry for what I did and urge others not to give in to the SBU’s provocations," the man said in the video.

The FSB reported earlier that a Russian national born in 1974, recruited by Ukrainian intelligence agencies, had been detained in the Kherson Region for planning a terrorist attack against government officials.
