MOSCOW, February 10. /TASS/. Mask use introduced in Russia to combat the spread of COVID-19 will not be cancelled so far, head of the Russian Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing Anna Popova said on the Rossiya-1 channel on Wednesday.
"We need to wear masks, this demand is not cancelled and won’t be cancelled so far," she said.
Popova added that stabilization of the COVID-19 situation is only possible if citizens adhere to all epidemiological measures. "Every day, we register over 10,000 new cases, and this is a lot," she noted.
Russia has documented 4,012,710 cases of COVID-19 so far, according to the federal anti-coronavirus crisis center. Meanwhile, 3,516,561 patients have recovered and 78,134 have died.
