Putin highlights friendly nature of Russia-Equatorial Guinea relations

The Russian leader stressed that Russia values its effective coordination with Equatorial Guinea on the international stage

MOSCOW, October 28. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin highlighted the constructive and friendly nature of relations between Russia and Equatorial Guinea during a meeting with Equatorial Guinean President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo.

"In recent years, we have met regularly, practically every year, and our meeting reflects the friendly and consistently constructive nature of our relations. Your presence in Moscow in 2025 for the 80th anniversary of our country’s Victory in the Great Patriotic War was particularly significant," Putin said.

The Russian leader noted that Russia values its effective coordination with Equatorial Guinea on the international stage. "Our countries maintain good relations on these platforms and hold similar positions on key issues, advocating a polycentric world order and the right of all countries to independently choose their own path of development. Mr. President, I would like to emphasize once again that we are very pleased to welcome you to Moscow," Putin added.
