MOSCOW, October 28. /TASS/. The ceasefire arrangement around the city of Alyoshki in the Kherson Region was agreed upon from the outset, Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in response to a TASS question.
He was commenting on reports concerning a statement by US First Lady Melania Trump that the ceasefire zone had been expanded beyond the city of Alyoshki.
"Well, this has been discussed [before]. People have been talking about it for two days now," Peskov said. When asked whether the original agreement covered an area larger than the city of Alyoshki itself, he replied, "Of course. Read all the statements [on Alyoshki] carefully," the Kremlin spokesman stressed.
On October 23, the White House announced that Russia and Ukraine, with the assistance of Melania Trump, had reached an agreement on a ceasefire in the city of Alyoshki in the Kherson Region starting October 29. The two countries agreed to halt all hostilities in Alyoshki to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid and prepare for the evacuation of civilians through a designated safe corridor.
