MOSCOW, December 9. /TASS/. Member states of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) should look into the activity of foreign biolabs on their territory, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with leaders of parliaments of CSTO countries on Monday.
"We know together with you very well that some countries are developing this activity on the territories of foreign states, including our [CSTO] states. And we must understand without any doubt what is happening in these laboratories and whether there are threats there and, if they do exist, what their nature is and how to counter these threats," the Russian leader stressed.
Putin said he knew that a draft law was in the works that could be used as a model act for CSTO member states to optimize national regulation and prevent military bioactivity.
"This is a very important direction of our joint work," the Russian leader said.
