MOSCOW, November 3. /TASS/. Kiev is putting together a ‘dirty bomb’ with the West’s participation and the situation will turn into a disaster if it is not stopped, Secretary of Russia’s Security Council Nikolay Patrushev said at a meeting of CIS security chiefs on Thursday.
"According to the available data, Ukraine is carrying out work to create a ‘dirty’ nuclear charge. We believe that this process is taking place with the participation of Western patrons. In this regard, we express a very serious concern over this clearly dangerous situation that threatens to turn into a global catastrophe, if it is not stopped," the Russian security chief warned.
The United States remains the sole country in the world that used nuclear weapons and the atomic bombardments of the peaceful towns of Hiroshima and Nagasaki on August 6 and 9, 1945 were intended not to rout militarist Japan but to intimidate the international community and demonstrate "who the master is," Patrushev pointed out.
Russia has always put forward proposals for nuclear powers, primarily, the United States, that agreements be reached on nuclear arms openness and comprehensive control, the security chief stressed.
"However, what do we see today? Realizing that the anti-Russia sanctions policy has failed, the West is looking for additional arguments to bring an increasingly large number of states into a coalition for a confrontation with Russia. A potential provocation with nuclear weapons and the attempts to press the issue that Russia may use them are exploited precisely for attaining these goals," Patrushev said.
Moscow is well aware of who is the perpetrator and the mastermind of this potential provocation, the security chief said.
"We are warning the world that the Russian state has nothing to do with that," the secretary of Russia’s Security Council emphasized.
