MOSCOW, July 1. /TASS/. US President Joe Biden did not try to demonstrate any mentoring during the Russian-US summit in Geneva, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in an interview with Channel One, adding that it is hardly possible to use such a tone when speaking with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
"There was not and could not be any mentoring. You know it is simply impossible to demonstrate any mentoring during the talks with President Putin in this respect," he said when asked a respective question.
Putin "gives very clear answers saying that this rhetoric is unacceptable" in response to attempts of such pressure, Peskov said, adding that "there was no [such rhetoric] in fact".
The talks of Russian and US Presidents Vladimir Putin and Joe Biden were held in Geneva on June 16. That was the first Russian-US summit since Putin met with former US President Donald Trump in Helsinki in July 2018.
