PARIS, April 25. /TASS/. Police in downtown Paris opened fire at a car, killing two people and wounding one, the Actu news portal reported on Monday.
The incident occurred on the Pont Neuf bridge, the report said. The driver pulled over when ordered to do so by the police, but then stepped on the gas pedal and drove toward the officers, Actu said. One of the police officers made several shots in self-defense, the portal said.
The incident took place a few hours after a rally by the supporters of French President Emmanuel Macron in the city where he delivered a speech.
