Safety of IAEA staff during their ZNPP rotations top priority — Rosatom

According to the statement, Rosatom and the IAEA have agreed to continue communication

MOSCOW, June 6 /TASS/. The security of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) employees during their rotations at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant remains one of Rosatom’s highest priorities, the Russian state nuclear corporation said in a statement following a meeting between its CEO Alexey Likhachev and IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi.

"The meeting participants also discussed matters related to the regular rotations of IAEA experts at the plant. The Russian side emphasized that ensuring the safety of Agency personnel, as well as representatives of the involved bodies, is a top priority in this process," the statement noted.

Rosatom and the IAEA have also agreed to continue communication.

"Both sides assessed the conversation as useful and open and confirmed their agreement to continue dialogue," the statement reads.
