Inflation in Russia slows down to 0.14% on October 24-30

From October 17 to October 23, the country experienced inflation of 0.24%

MOSCOW, November 1. /TASS/. Inflation in Russia on October 24-30, 2023, was 0.14%, according to the Russian State Statistics Service (Rosstat).

A week earlier the country reported inflation of 0.24%.

Since the beginning of October, consumer prices in Russia increased by 0.83%, and by 5.47% since the beginning of the year.

In annual terms, inflation in Russian deration as of October 30, 2023 (according to calculations using average daily data for this and last year on similar dates), amounted to 6.67%.

According to the Ministry of Economic Development, annual inflation in Russia from October 24 to October 30, 2023 accelerated to 6.69% from 6.59% a week earlier. "In the week from October 24 to October 30, 2023, inflation in the consumer market slowed down to 0.14%. The rate of price growth reached 6.69% year-on-year, the," the ministry said.

On September 22, the Ministry of Economic Development published an updated forecast of Russia’s socio-economic development for 2024-2026. According to the statement, the ministry raised the forecast for inflation in Russia in 2023 from 5.3% to 7.5%.
