MOSCOW, December 9. /TASS/. Rosoboronexport and India are implementing about ten joint projects in the naval sphere and are discussing several new initiatives as well, CEO of the Russian state's arms export agency Alexander Mikheev said.
The company transferred the Project 11356 Tushil frigate to India, which was built at the Yantar Shipyard. The warship transfer ceremony was held today in Kaliningrad and attended by Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh.
"Raising the Indian flag on board the Tushil ship is a big milestone in Russian-Indian military-technical cooperation, fully aligning with the Make in India initiative. Twenty ship systems made in India are installed on board the Russian-built frigate; it is fitted with the BrahMos ultrasonic missile system. Besides, today Rosoboronexport and India are implementing about ten joint projects and discussing several new ones where the navy is concerned," Mikheev said, cited by the company’s press service.
