NEW YORK, April 5. /TASS/. A car slammed into a crowd near a festival organized on the occasion of Lao New Year in Louisiana, the United States, Reuters reports, citing local services.

Thirteen out of fifteen injured people were hospitalized.

"We are profoundly saddened by the news of the incident near the festival grounds," the organizers said, cited by the news agency. Earlier planned activities were canceled in view of the accident.
