Ukraine and Croatia agree to use Croatian ports for grain exports — Foreign Minister

"Now we will work to lay the most efficient routes to these ports and make the most of this opportunity," Dmitry Kuleba added

MOSCOW, July 31. /TASS/. Croatian ports will be used for the export of Ukrainian grain, the details are still being worked out. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba announced this following the negotiations with Croatian Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlic-Radman, who arrived in Kiev.

"We have agreed on the possibility of using Croatian ports on the Danube and in the Adriatic Sea to transport Ukrainian grain," Kuleba said as quoted by his ministry’s press service.

"Now we will work to lay the most efficient routes to these ports and make the most of this opportunity," he added.

The Ukrainian minister also said that "weapons were the main topic of negotiations today, as traditionally with other partners."

"For obvious reasons, I will not share the details. I will only say that there are specific agreements that will be implemented soon," Kuleba said.

As a spokesperson of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry added, "the negotiations and a press conference in Kiev were held in a hybrid format."

"Dmitry Kuleba took part in it online while being in self-isolation after a positive test for COVID-19," the Foreign Ministry explained.
