BEIJING, August 9. /TASS/. Member of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee Political Bureau Yang Jiechi will visit Russia on August 14-17, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesman Lu Kang said in a statement on Thursday.
According to the statement, Yang Jiechi will participate in the 14th round of Russian-Chinese consultations on strategic stability. The previous round of such consultations took place in the Chinese capital of Beijing in July 2017.
Yang Jiechi will make a visit to Russia at the invitation of Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev.
Patrushev said earlier that Yang Jiechi was also expected to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
