Experiment to reduce zero gravity adaptation period held aboard ISS — cosmonaut

Results of the experiment will be studied by scientists, who are to develop a set of recommendations

MOSCOW, May 6. /TASS/. An experiment, allowing to reduce zero gravity adaptation period for cosmonauts with the help of training and medicines, has been held aboard the International Space Station (ISS), Russian cosmonaut Pyotr Dubrov told TASS in an interview.

"There was an interesting experiment, intended to study methods of reducing the period of a person’s adaptation to zero gravity and mitigating effects that a person experiences throughout this adaptation period," Dubrov said, commenting on his scientific activities aboard the orbital outpost.

According to him, a complex of various measures may be developed for the purpose, including "training, maybe medicamental support, maybe electrical stimulation or some other types of stimulation."

Results of the experiment will be studied by scientists, who are to develop a set of recommendations, he said.
