Russian, Brazilian foreign ministers discuss meeting schedule

Sergey Lavrov and Mauro Vieira reaffirmed the determination to "continue strengthening the entire system of Russia-Brazil ties"

MOSCOW, February 21. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his Brazilian counterpart Mauro Vieira discussed the schedule of meetings at various levels as the countries preside over BRICS and the Group of 20 this year, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

"An interested exchange of views on pressing issues of the bilateral and international agendas was held. The schedule of meetings at various levels was reviewed, given the overlapping presidencies of the two countries in BRICS and the G20 this year," the ministry said in a statement following a meeting between the ministers on the sidelines of a G20 ministerial event.

The ministers reaffirmed the determination to "continue strengthening the entire system of Russia-Brazil ties," the statement said.

"Discussion was given to a number of practical aspects of engagement in the G20," the ministry said.
