MOSCOW, December 18. /TASS/. Russia has every reason to believe that NATO’s career military personnel fight in the conflict in Ukraine, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has said in an interview with the Great Game program on Channel One.
"There is every reason to suspect that alongside mercenaries - I cannot state this with one hundred percent certainty, under oath - that NATO countries' career military personnel are involved in hostilities in Ukraine," Lavrov said.
In addition, he noted "many facts, including video evidence [testifying to the presence in Ukraine] of mercenaries from Poland and other European countries."
"Even from some Middle Eastern countries, where the Americans, in particular in Syria, still keep the Al-Tanf military base, and where militants of the Islamic State (banned in Russia - TASS) feel at ease. Some of them have already turned up in Ukraine," Lavrov added.
