MOSCOW, March 21. /TASS/. The MOEX index started to decline amid the Bank of Russia decided to keep the key rate unchanged at 21% per annum.
As of 13:32 Moscow time, the MOEX index was down 0.2% to 3,216.84 points. By 13:39 Moscow time, the MOEX index had slowed its decline and was at 3,220.79 points (-0.07%), while the RTS index was up 0.07% to 1,202.02 points.
As of 13:29 Moscow time, the MOEX index was up 0.44% to 3,237.19 points.
At the same time, by 13:50 Moscow time, the yuan exchange rate on the Moscow Exchange slowed its growth and amounted to 11.564 rubles (+6.15 kopecks).
The Board of Directors of the Bank of Russia decided on Friday for the third time in a row to keep the key rate at 21% per annum, indicating that it may consider raising it if the disinflation dynamics do not ensure the achievement of the inflation target of 4%.
