MOSCOW, March 4. /TASS/. American Starbucks Corporation has filed several trademarks in Russia in early 2025, according to the Russian Federal Service for Intellectual Property database.
In May 2024, the company submitted several applications to register its trademarks in the Russian Federation.
According to the regulator, two trademarks were approved in January and February, and two more applications have been greenlit for registration. An examination of the declared designations is underway with respect to other applications.
In March 2022, the Starbucks coffee shop chain announced that it was suspending all business activity in Russia, including the supply of products to the country. Then the company announced its decision to leave the Russian market. The assets of Starbucks were purchased in partnership by restaurateur Anton Pinsky, businessman Timur Yunusov (also known as rapper Timati) and the Sindika company launching a chain of cafes Stars Coffee.
