MOSCOW, April 2. /TASS/. Unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) operators of Russia’s Alexander Nevsky Brigade of the Battlegroup South have destroyed 14 heavy Ukrainian drones in one day, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.
"Air defense crews of the Faithful Saint Prince Alexander Nevsky Brigade of the Volunteer Corps are targeting enemy drones, using ramming tactics to intercept targets in the air. In just one day, UAV operators have destroyed 14 large enemy UAVs, including 12 heavy Baba-Yaga type drones," the ministry reported.
According to its data, over the past month, Russian air defense crews have shot down 102 large enemy UAVs, including 96 Baba-Yaga type drones and six drones of various types.
The ministry reported that, in addition to the air defense crews, the enemy aerial targets have also been destroyed by ground mobile teams using the Yolka interceptor drones, anti-aircraft mounts, as well as small arms and sniper weapons.
