MOSCOW, April 2. /TASS/. Trilateral talks on the Ukrainian settlement have been put on hold, but the Russian side remains in contact with the US and is discussing, first and foremost, "Ukrainian issues," Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov said.
"The trilateral talks are currently on hold. We maintain communication with the US, but we see that the Ukrainians are also actively negotiating with them. As for the US, it is currently focused on other matters, specifically another issue," Ushakov noted.
This was his response to journalists’ requests to clarify whether there is currently a pause in contacts with the US on Ukrainian matters. He also addressed whether the US is informing Russia about the progress of its negotiations with Ukraine. "Contacts are ongoing, and during them we are discussing primarily Ukrainian issues," the Kremlin aide said.
