MOSCOW, April 2. /TASS/. Moscow-based developers of the Skvorets drone, one of the most widely used in Russia’s special military operation zone in Ukraine, have rapidly created an interceptor drone, the all-Russia People’s Front, whose Kulibin Club supports the manufacturers, told TASS.
"To save on expensive air defense systems and reduce their load, an interceptor drone was developed. It is integrated with the radars used by our anti-aircraft gunners. The drone approaches the interception zone and is guided by radar. Once at the desired location, it detonates remotely, with an effective range of 4-5 meters. A focused munition is used to inflict pinpoint damage and minimize damage to surrounding areas," said Anton Belozerov, a representative of the manufacturer.
The Kulibin Club selects, tests, and supports the mass production of the best products designed by Russian engineers. Thanks to this initiative, thousands of innovative electronic warfare systems, quadcopters, self-propelled robotic vehicles, and other products have been deployed to the front lines.
