MOSCOW, April 1. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has instructed the Central Election Commission to pay special attention to ensuring security during the elections.
"I ask you to pay special attention to security issues, to be in constant contact with the Interior Ministry, [Russia’s National Guard] Rosgvardiya, and other agencies," the president told a new lineup of the Central Election Commission.
"No one, no external forces should get a single chance to interfere, influence the course and even more so the outcome of the popular vote. We will stop any attempts to use the elections to destabilize society. The relevant tasks have been assigned to the law enforcement agencies. I hope that the election commission staff will ensure strict compliance with the requirements of the law, show an example of objectivity, honesty and professionalism."
