MOSCOW, April 7. /TASS/. The coronavirus pandemic is artificially propped up through the release of new "improved" strains, Chief of Russia’s Radiation, Chemical and Biological Protection Troops Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov said on Friday.
"I would like to draw attention to the fact that specialists still have a number of questions linked, to put it mildly, to the unique nature of most of the viruses mutability and geographical origins of COVID-19 variants. <…> Notably, each new variant had improved characteristics from the point of view of their military-biological use, causing more and more economic damage," he said, citing as an example the Beta variant, which originated in South Africa and was detected in the United Kingdom in December 2020, as well as the Gamma variant (appeared in Brazil in January 2021) and the Delta variant (in India in June 2021).
According to Kirillov, the toughest anti-coronavirus measures failed to prevent the emergence of the BA-5.2 and BF-7 subvariants of the Omicron strain in 2022, which caused an avalanche of cases in China. "It looks like someone is taking deliberate steps to enhance the virus’ pathogenic qualities and the pandemic is being artificially propped up by throwing in new upgraded variants," he stressed.
He also noted that the United States continues to engage state bodies having no relation to healthcare in the works under military-biological programs. "New information indicates that the United States’ leadership continues to engage non-sectoral government agencies, which have no connection to the public health sector, in the implementation of military-biological programs in a bid to divert attention from the key beneficiary - the Pentagon," he stressed.
