Iran’s army chief repeatedly threatens crushing retaliation against Israel

"When it becomes necessary, we will act immediately," Abdolrahim Mousavi emphasized

DUBAI, November 14. /TASS/. Israel will undoubtedly face Iran’s crushing response to the October 26 strike on Iranian facilities, Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Army Abdolrahim Mousavi said.

"We are determining the time and method of responding to the Zionist regime. When it becomes necessary, we will act immediately. Undoubtedly, it will be a crushing response," the lieutenant general said at a commemoration ceremony for Iranian military personnel killed in the Israeli strike.

On October 1, Iran launched a massive missile strike on Israel in retaliation for the assassinations of key figures in the leadership of the Hamas Palestinian militant group, the Hezbollah Lebanese Shiite movement, and Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. Israel has vowed to retaliate.

On October 26, the Israel Defense Forces reported it struck Iranian military sites in response to "numerous ongoing attacks." Iran’s air defense forces confirmed that military facilities in the Ilam, Tehran, and Khuzestan provinces were targeted but only suffered limited damage. At least four Iranian soldiers and one civilian were killed in the Israeli airstrikes.
