MOSCOW, November 27. /TASS/. The closure of Channel One's German bureau is a blatant violation of all fundamental principles of international communication, and Moscow will respond accordingly, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko told reporters.

"We view this action negatively. It represents a clear violation of core principles of international communication, including respect for freedom of speech and access to information," he stated in response to a related question. "We see this as another hostile move by the German authorities. Naturally, we will continue to advocate for the rights of our journalists and utilize all available means to do so. However, if there is no progress toward respecting their rights, it may be necessary to respond in kind," he added.

It was recently reported that the German authorities have decided to shut down the German bureau of Channel One. Employees of the Berlin correspondent office, Ivan Blagoy and Dmitry Volkov, have been ordered to leave the country.
