Development of non-commodity exports from Russia to China holds significant potential

According to Artyom Dovlatov, these projects span gas chemistry, metallurgy, timber processing, shipbuilding, and other sectors

BEIJING, June 6. /TASS/. VEB.RF sees significant potential in expanding non-commodity and non-energy exports from Russia to China, Deputy Chairman of the state corporation Artyom Dovlatov told TASS.

"Major Russian companies are already implementing or developing projects with Chinese partners, involving VEB.RF, with a combined value exceeding 12 trillion rubles and financing limits from VEB.RF amounting to more than 3.6 trillion rubles," Dovlatov noted. According to him, these projects span gas chemistry, metallurgy, timber processing, shipbuilding, and other sectors. "All of them are of great importance for the economic development of both countries," he added.

In addition, he said, the corporation is actively working to identify technological partners through the Skolkovo Foundation and the Russian Fund for the Development of Information Technologies, promoting the solutions of Russian IT companies in SCO markets. "Overall, VEB.RF supports the expansion of cooperation with representatives of financial markets in metropolitan areas, provinces, and other administrative entities within SCO countries," he stated.
