Putin expects Russia’s 4% inflation target to be achieved

The head of state emphasized that ensuring the production of sufficient quantity of goods and services for citizens was the key tool in the inflation fight

MOSCOW, December 4. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed hope that the 4% inflation target will be achieved "sooner or later."

Speaking at the VTB Russia Calling! Investment Forum, he said that ensuring the production of sufficient quantity of goods and services for citizens is the key tool in the inflation fight, adding that it is important to reach a balance of developed economy, the sufficient quantity of goods and services, as well as inflation decline to the required level.

"Our required level was 4%. I hope that we will achieve it," Putin said.
