Investment in Moscow economy totals around $73.5 bln in 2023

The largest portion of the total investment, 33.4%, went into machines and equipment, while another 28.2% was invested in non-residential construction and land improvement, Sergey Sobyanin said

MOSCOW, April 2. /TASS/. Investment in the Russian capital’s economy rose by 3.8% last year in comparable prices compared with 2022 and reached around 6.8 trillion rubles ($73.5 bln), Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin reported on his Telegram channel.

"Investment in Moscow’s economy totaled around 6.8 trillion rubles last year, an increase of 3.8% in comparable prices compared to 2022," he wrote.

The largest portion of the total investment, 33.4%, went into machines and equipment, while another 28.2% was invested in non-residential construction and land improvement, Sobyanin said, adding that 16.5% and 18.8% were invested in research, development and innovation, as well as residential construction, respectively.
