MOSCOW, August 25. /TASS/. The team of the Russian Armed Forces demonstrated the best results at all stages of the Special Leap competition at the 2022 International Army Games, Russia’s Defense Ministry announced on Thursday.
"During the Special Leap international contest of the 2022 Army Games in Sergiev Posad, the Russian team demonstrated the best results at all the three stages: Transport Maneuver, Reliable Defender and Safe Frontier. At the Safe Frontier third stage of the competition, the Russian servicemen delivered a military cargo mock-up through an obstacle course, surmounting all the obstacles in 39 minutes and triumphing as the competition’s absolute leader," the ministry said.
The army teams from Abkhazia, Belarus, Vietnam and Cambodia still have to perform in the competition before its results are summed up, it said.
The 8th International Army Games 2022 are running this year on August 13-27 at military training grounds of 12 countries (Russia, Azerbaijan, Algeria, Armenia, Belarus, Venezuela, Vietnam, Iran, Kazakhstan, China, Mongolia and Uzbekistan). For the first time, a competition of the International Army Games 2022 is running in South America. Overall, over 260 teams from 35 countries have been registered to participate in the competitions. Teams from Bolivia and Rwanda are participating in the Army Games 2022 for the first time this year.
